Starting from July 2022 daily visitors will have to book their “entrance” to the city. For the moment this booking is not mandatory though and free of charge.
Entrance fee starting from January 2023
Starting from January 2023 the access fee will be mandatory for daily visitors. The tariff will be decided according to the number of visitors coming to Venice, thus once the maximum number of 40.000 visitors is exceeded, the ticket price will reach the maximum tariff of €10/person.

Who doesn't have to pay?
This entrance fee is not due by visitors who sleep in the city centre, as they already pay a visitors tax on their room.
